[Letter] 1858 Aug. 28, Charlottesville, Va. to [John Albert Broadus] / John Hart. 1858.

Reported on illnesses in the Charlottesville area: "Nannie Abell is better. So to at Mrs. Sinclairs. Miss Lottie was sitting up a day or so ago as I learn. I have not seen her. I heard today from G.B. [George Boardman?] Taylor that your children have scarlet fever. I hope he was wrongly informed." John A. Broadus married Charlotte E. Sinclair, affectionately known as "Lottie", his second wife, Jan. 4, 1859.
